A fines de septiembre llegamos a La Tierra Sin Mal, donde Jorge Frías y Valeria Varela junto a sus dos hijos, Kalén y Nohuet, nos recibieron para realizar un voluntariado en su hogar. La granja donde viven está compuesta por dos tercios de monte nativo y el espacio restante utilizado para la huerta y vivienda. Allí estuvimos diez días junto a ellos, no solo trabajando y aprendiendo sino también intercambiando ideas de toda índole, que hicieron lo vivido muy enriquecedor. De su propia voz compartimos lo conversado acerca de este lugar y sus pensamientos.

“La Tierra Sin Mal es nuestra granja. Queda en Puerto Tirol, provincia de Chaco. El nombre tiene que ver en principio con la mirada de la cosmovisión guaranítica, donde ellos buscaban lo que para el cristiano es el Edén o el paraíso, sólo que los guaraníes no lo buscan en un espacio celestial sino en la Tierra y nosotros creemos que encontramos ese lugar en este lugar. Entonces, La Tierra Sin Mal es un espacio geográfico y físico, que deseamos que no tenga ningún mal ni la tierra ni quienes vivimos acá. Que la forma de vida no tenga esos males. La Tierra Sin Mal es nuestro lugar para vivir y para morir.” Cuenta Jorge mientras ceba unos mates.

Jorge y Valeria hace ocho años que viven en la granja y después de tres años, luego del nacimiento de Nohuet, deciden comenzar a trabajarla. Actualmente, dos veces a la semana venden en Resistencia, la ciudad más próxima, cajones de diversos alimentos a pedido de sus vecinos.

“La Tierra Sin Mal empieza a tener sentido cuando aparece la comunidad porque algo deja de tener mal cuando el conjunto está sano. Si uno tiene el hígado sano pero el corazón enfermo o al revés, el cuerpo no funciona bien. La propuesta nuestra arranca con una propuesta productiva, de cambio de modelo productivo pero en realidad de fondo es una propuesta de política y social. Aquí se produce en primera medida felicidad. El eje fuerte está en la producción vegetal, hortalizas, aromáticas y algo de frutas. Es lo que nosotros producimos, pero La Tierra Sin Mal produce un montón de otras cosas, como plantas medicinales: tantas que no las conocemos y otras las reconocemos. Volviendo al tema de la comunidad, muchas de las plantas que nacen de forma natural no conocemos, quienes nos enseñaron que son plantas medicinales fueron mujeres aborígenes del pueblo Qom que vivían cercan y venían a buscar sus medicinas acá. También nos ayudaron personas mayores que vivían en el campo y nos iban enseñando para que servían cada una de ellas. Todos nos comentaban que teníamos una farmacia en el patio de la casa que nosotros no estábamos conociendo. Esa construcción de saberes es a través de la comunidad.

Desde el punto de vista político, La Tierra Sin Mal es una filosofía de vida y lo estamos haciendo también por ideología, porque es un cambio de paradigma. Estamos planteando un cambio de modelos. Estamos convencidos con eso, que la producción de alimentos es posible de otra manera, que respete la tierra, que respete la vida, al ser humano, a la salud y al planeta. Actualmente estamos en transición como familia, pero como modelo de producción ya estamos en el camino. Ya no podemos pensar en utilizar siquiera un fertilizante químico. El paradigma que proponemos no es un paradigma fijo o estático, sino que tiene la movilidad de la vida, entonces permanentemente se va renovando. En ese sentido, siempre vamos a estar reconstruyéndolo desde la vivencia. Nosotros tenemos orígenes distintos (con Valeria) y vamos discutiendo, cada uno por su lado histórico, estas cuestiones de diferente manera. Llego el momento en que la vida nos encontró y tuvimos claro desde el inicio que para nuestros hijos no queríamos el otro paradigma. Yo hasta que no los parí no hice el cambio concreto. Sí peleé y estaba convencido pero nunca di el paso definitivo.

Pensamos cuál es el factor por el cual este tema a unos les hace click y a otros no. Y por eso decidimos trabajar con la comunidad de manera política y social. Porque no existe un componente sano si no está toda la comunidad sana porque pertenecemos a la misma trama cultural. Por otro lado, es difícil acotar a un solo espacio físico, tiene que ser mucho más grande. No podemos hacer verdura agroecológica si a cien metros están tirando glifosato. No podemos estar intentando hacer una comunidad armónica si a cien metros de la casa se están matando.” Entrelazan estas palabras en conjunto Jorge y Valeria.

Durante nuestras jornadas en la granja, a través de tantas charlas y meriendas extensas donde conversábamos de diversos temas, pensábamos que la militancia era una pata fundamental de La Tierra Sin Mal. Así se lo proponíamos a Jorge y Valeria.

“Sí, es una militancia. Y es una forma de vida. Con todas las contradicciones que acarreamos, desde la ingesta de alimentos que no logramos tener la soberanía plena hasta los productos de consumos populares. Creemos ser un instrumento para que otros se convenzan de este modelo. Con toda la abundancia que da una hectárea y la cantidad de gente que puede comer de una huerta, de frutales y con animales, como gallinas, y una huerta más amigable… Este espacio pareciera que produce verduras pero en realidad produce salud. Deseamos contagiar con esto a otros.” Afirman sin titubear, firmes en sus creencias.

Las puertas de la Tierra Sin Mal estuvieron abiertas para nosotros así como lo están para todos. Ellos esperan que las personas que pasen por la granja, además del trabajo realizado, puedan compartir conversaciones y construir el conocimiento en conjunto. Que las personas se lleven el espíritu del lugar, que puedan replicarlo en otros espacios, de acuerdo a las posibilidades de cada uno y que puedan ir creciendo. Ambos consideran que no tiene sentido si se acota a un espacio reducido.

Desde el Proyecto Socioambiental Sin Alambrados abogamos por estos espacios de vital importancia, no solo para el grupo núcleo de personas que lo inician y llevan a cabo, sino para el potencial que tienen como individuos al conectarse con otros símiles. El intercambio de sabiduría, experiencias, productos y la sinergia dada resultante en el contacto de estos espacios, es la base de construcción de una nueva cultura requerida para afrontar los desafíos de educación, alimentación y bienestar que asoman en el horizonte. Permitiendo que los más chicos se formen desde sus inicios en este nuevo paradigma y lo tomen como natural defendiéndolo como propio y necesario. Y para los adultos que nos incorporamos, Neo-campesinos como lo denomina Remo Vénica, a estos saberes tener la responsabilidad de transmitir a nuestros pares y futuros la sabiduría de nuestros antecesores.

 

Jornada compartida

En una de las jornadas de trabajo en La Tierra Sin Mal, compartimos la misma junto a otras personas, integrantes del Movimiento Guardianes del Iberá y Grupo Lapacho: Cristian, Checho y Hernán. Después de un fresco almuerzo seguimos trabajando y en los mates de descanso durante el atardecer nos contaron acerca de sus actividades y labores en dichos movimientos.

El Movimiento Guardianes del Iberá es un movimiento socioambiental que se originó en el centro de la provincia de Corrientes, tierras adentro de los Esteros del Iberá, con los pobladores originarios y el campesinado. Según su relato, allí existe un sometimiento a las poblaciones locales por parte de actores con intereses capitalistas por las tierras y los recursos del lugar. Su trabajo además de la capital provincial tiene incidencia también en otras ciudades donde existen distintas problemáticas, por ejemplo en Lavalle, donde existe el problema de los agrotóxicos. Afirman que están en contra de los monocultivos forestales, como también el arroz, que generalmente son provenientes de empresas foráneas, como la universidad de Harvard que tiene cientos de hectáreas de forestación.

El Movimiento Guardianes del Ibera está compuesto por distintas organizaciones distribuidas en diversos puntos de la provincia, como lo es El Grupo Lapacho, ubicado en la ciudad capital, el cual ha sido co-fundador del movimiento. Actualmente, en él participan activamente entre quince y veinte personas. A nivel provincial, el número es de aproximadamente quinientos integrantes. La forma de organización es a través de asambleas en forma horizontal.

El Grupo Lapacho trata de visibilizar en la capital a través de movilizaciones y los medios de comunicación todo lo que es la problemática del interior. También tiene diversos grupos de trabajo en el área de reciclaje, huerta, comunicación, piscicultura, entre otras… Ven necesario el trabajo autogestivo como una herramienta indispensable para liberarse de las empresas que pueden causar problema socioambientales.

La relación de estos grupos con el gobierno tiene poca salud. Desde los movimientos existen diversas propuestas mediante la presentación de proyectos, los cuales no tiene buen cauce una vez presentados. Ante esta situación el movimiento da respuesta con movilizaciones en protesta de ello. La última movilización fue con el CETEP (Confederación de Trabajadores de la Economía Popular) y fue por tierra y trabajo. Otras movilizaciones han sido por exigir control sobre la posibilidad de entregas de tierras para la confección de un Parque Nacional. Ellos afirman que las en las tierras de la fundación The Conservation Land Trust, se encuentra un cementerio guaraní el cual no está siendo respetado, sino más bien ha sido cercado con un alambrado.

Queremos destacar, desde el Proyecto Socioambiental Sin Alambrados, la importancia de la generación de una tela araña compuesta por individuos, donde se pueda lograr una unidad donde todos estén conectados a través de una misma red, donde los saberes se transmitan sin egoísmo y donde se trabaje en pos de un beneficio común.
