Segunda Semana de la Agroecología

Granja La Aurora de Juan Kiehr, finalizando el primer día de la semana.

A finales de Octubre y comienzos de Noviembre Sin Alambrados participó de la Segunda Semana de la Agroecología, organizada por RENAMA (Red Nacional de Municipios y Comunidades que fomentan la Agroecología). Las actividades se desarrollaron en INTA-Barrow (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria), Municipio de Guaminí y en Benito Juárez.

Este encuentro tuvo como objeto promocionar la agroecología con profesionales, productores, funcionarios públicos, estudiantes y público en general a través de visitas a campos agroecológicos, exposiciones, talleres y debates. La misma comenzó  el lunes 31 de octubre y finalizó el viernes 4 de noviembre.  Sus actividades tuvieron los siguientes lineamientos y equipos de trabajo: recorrer y observar los avances en campos de productores extensivos agroecológicos, ampliar y debatir las problemáticas del modelo actual de producción agropecuaria, compartir el estado de desarrollo de las ordenanzas municipales de zonificación para el uso de agroquímicos entre productores, interesados y funcionarios públicos.  El marco contempló la firma de un acta de compromiso para fomentar la agroecología a nivel municipal, regional y provincial.

El programa oficial de actividades estuvo dado por:

– Visita al Establecimiento “La Aurora”, propiedad de Juan Kiehr. Seleccionado como una de las 52 experiencias exitosas agroecológicas a nivel mundial por la FAO (Organización de las Naciones Unidas por la Alimentación y Agricultura), ubicada cerca de Estación López, dentro del partido de Benito Juárez.

Se cerró la jornada con una ronda donde todos los presentes contaban su razón de estar y su relación con la agroecología.

– Visita al módulo demostrativo de la Chacra Experimental de Barrow (INTA-MAIBA) – Experiencia y resultados Productivos y Económicos.

– Recorrida de campos del proyecto Agroecológico del Municipio de Guaminí concluyendo en un Seminario-Taller. Conferencia “Desafíos, limitaciones y potencialidades de la investigación con enfoque agroeocológico”. Exposición Ing.Agr. Santiago Sarandon UNLP (Universidad Nacional de La Plata). Charla de alimentación a cargo de la Lic. Miryan Gorban UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires). Exposición sobre Agroquímicos  y salud dictada por Damian Verceñazi  de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario.

– Apertura a cargo del Intendente de Guaminí y miembros de la ReNAMA. Presentación: Proyecto defensoría del pueblo por la Ing Agr Claudia Flores UNLP. Agroquímicos y ambiente por el  Dr. Damián Marino UNLP. Propuesta del taller producción investigación por  Santiago Sarandon UNLP. Proyecto de Fomento a la Agroecología del Municipio de Guaminí por Schwerdt/Cerdá – Mesa de productores. Para finalizar la mañana del día jueves se firmó el Acta de compromiso de parte de los Municipios de fomentar actividades agroecológicas.

Opción 4 – Taller de producción agroecológica coordinado por Eduardo Cerdá, Ramón Cieza, Martin Zamora. Visita a Experiencias del grupo agroecológico de Guaminí.

– Recorrida de campos y Visita al Molino La Clarita.

Lamentablemente el Dr. Damián Verzeñassi, de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de Rosario (UNR), no pudo ser parte de la agenda de actividades. El motivo tuvo que ver con la situación que atravesaron él y su equipo de investigación, a partir del desarrollo de sus actividades profesionales en los Campamentos Sanitarios, que son parte de la materia “Salud Socioambiental y Práctica Final” de la mencionada facultad.  Este equipo lleva seis años de producción de conocimientos estadísticos relevantes sobre las consecuencias negativas que tiene  para la salud  la exposición a agroquímicos. Durante el desarrollo de este trabajo se han recolectado datos de más de 96.800 vecinos, los cuales son patrimonio de la sociedad y es a quien pertenecen. La oficina donde se encuentran estos registros había sido encadenada, dejando a los mismos literalmente incautados. Situación que actualmente está resuelta en cierta medida al momento de publicar esta nota.

Como el dicho: “una de cal, una de arena”, quizás esa mala noticia respecto al Dr. Verzeñassi, puede ser compensada por una presencia no enmarcada en el programa de Darío Alberto y Joan Dulong. Ambos son estudiantes de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario y miembros de la agrupación Movimiento Universitario por la Agroecología (MUA). Esta agrupación joven está compuesta por un conjunto de estudiantes y graduados de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias de Zavalla, que decide nuclearse con voluntad e iniciativa propia a partir de la necesidad de dar respuesta ante problemas e interrogantes de nuestra actualidad de índole ambiental, social, cultural, productivo, educativo y ético, inherentes a la modalidad vigente de producción de productos agropecuarios. El MUA logró el 28 de octubre de este año el Primer Encuentro Nacional de Estudiantes por la Agroecología (ENEA). Ante las palabras de Darío y Joan sobre la necesidad “para que la Agroecología se fortalezca en las academias se debe abordar un aprendizaje horizontal equitativo, con una visión holística, que se articule de manera multidisciplinaria, enriqueciendo así la formación de futuros profesionales como de aquellos que ya lo son”, el público aplaudió de pie. Es así que hoy queremos destacar esta intervención. No sólo por apoyar su labor sino para mostrarles a los que aún tienen miedo de enfrentar este cambio de paradigma que no están solos, estamos trabajando desde todas las aristas posibles para acompañarlos/nos en esta transición.

La semana se vivió con gran entusiasmo y participación, cargada de una intensa y continua actividad en todo lo previsto por la agenda oficial. Focalizando en compartir experiencias y conocimiento pudo darse en un marco totalmente horizontal, permitiendo conectarse par a par entre quienes dictaban las charlas y quienes las recibían.  Una combinación de información  técnica y científica, experiencias de vida de las personas que caminan día a día el territorio nacional y emociones a flor de piel de todas las personas que se encuentran en un período de transición, entre un modelo obsoleto y el que se propone con base completamente agroecológica. Todas las voces pudieron exponer y ser escuchadas, resultando positivo para la integración y confirmación de que la agroecología no solo es posible, sino que es necesaria para afrontar los nuevos paradigmas de las próximas generaciones, para dar respuesta y resolver las necesidades de alimentación y la relación con el ambiente. Una respuesta que involucra a diversos actores sociales y beneficia  a todos los seres vivos, sin excluir a nadie.

Concluyendo la jornada con un espíritu positivo, compartimos que la agroecología puede darse en cooperación, muy bien resumida y expuesta en la siguiente frase del Dr. Damián Marino: “Las construcciones exitosas son siempre colectivas”.

Aprovechamos para agradecer a todos los que trabajaron en la organización, a todos los profesionales que nos siguen informando con sus investigaciones, a los productores que compartieron sus experiencias propias,  a los que acompañan el proceso y dicen presente. Y especialmente a los integrantes del Colectivo Tierra Viva Bolívar, del cual somos parte, por permitirnos trabajar en conjunto participando de este tipo de jornadas.

Desde el Proyecto Socioambiental Sin Alambrados continuamos dando pasos en la participación ciudadana en pos de comunicar, formar, acompañar y trabajar en el nuevo paradigma que ha despertado y es requerido para  el bienestar de todos.
